Radio TV Jobs description

A radio TV announcer is responsible for research, development, production and execution of entertaining on-air program content relevant to the target audience as defined by the supervising manager. A radio TV announcer announces news, commercials, and public service messages as well as introduces various types of radio or television programs. A radio TV announcer describes sports and public events, such as parades and conventions. A radio TV announcer gives necessary network cues so that selected stations may receive intended programs. A radio TV announcer memorizes or read scripts, writes scripts and news copy, gives network program cues, also keeps records of programs and makes promotional appearances. A radio TV announcer is more than just a pleasant voice on the radio or a face on television. A radio TV announcer makes sure that the listeners would always emulate in some way his manner of speaking and he would have the power to influence people hopefully in a positive and healthy manner.
A radio TV announcer requires a bachelor’s degree. A radio TV announcer should have minimum two years on-air experience. A radio TV announcer should have excellent delivery skills, ability to work well under pressure, strong on-air presentation, technical ability, understanding of digital recording equipment, computer proficiency and good phone skills (heavy phone use/listener participation) along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
