Purpose: The purpose of this position is to plan, maintain and operate all technical equipment and support systems, while providing client service. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Maintain the technical operations of HD Broadcast production studios, post production edit suites and duplication departments. Performs preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and engineering updates at NEP Studios. Provide onsite client services and technical support. This position will require weekend shifts and after hours coverage; schedule may vary and be based upon NEP and client needs. Perform administrative checks on all systems. Follow through on repairs, inventory needs, and updates. Maintain and file the proper expense reports and technical reports on a per-show or other designated basis. Represent the company to clients in a courteous and professional manner. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: B.S./M.S. in Engineering or related field preferred. 5 years’ experience working in broadcast engineering or related position Understanding of IP technical interfaces and programming Demonstrated knowledge of SD & HD broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable television networks. Experience with desktop video software/hardware applications Familiarity with switcher, routers, audio, visual, graphic and other systems used in studio television facilities Must have strong leadership skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks and/or priorities and easily adapt to change. Must be able to interface and communicate well with both clients and staff to provide a high level of service and support Ability to deliver superior service and build lasting relationships by demonstrating NEP’s Core Values: innovative, one team, passion and integrity.
