Job Description:

The Digital Media Producer develops, produces and edits promotional video for college marketing and enrollment campaigns, college promotion and messaging, and/or address institutional priorities for use across any broadcast or digital platform.


Collaborates with the videographer, graphic design team, UI/UX web programmer, and experienced marketing leadership to create inspiring and unique video content.

Produces high-quality, creative, and relevant videography that complements campaign themes, aligns with the college brand.

Work with Marketing and Communications team to determine the use of video in marketing strategy.

Manage and maintain an on-site library of the College's video and audio assets. Maintain back-ups and collaborate with IT.

Perform minor repairs and routine cleaning of equipment. Conduct equipment replacement research when needed and make purchase recommendations.

Stay current in trends and technologies related to video, audio, web, production.

Determine formats, approaches, content, levels and mediums to effectively meet objectives within budgetary constraints.

Inform users of audio and film service policies and procedures.

Provide guidance and training to other Marketing and Communications employees to help them integrate video into their content creation.

Direct livestream broadcasts by setting up appropriate equipment and determining artistic presentation.

Supervise Videographer.

Supervise work study students who shoot videos; mentor in best practices

Create finished video quickly - sometimes with same-day turnaround.


Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Film/Videography, Media Arts, Digital Communication or related field from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

At least two years of video production experience, including planning, producing, post-production, and the design/use and maintenance of specialized equipment including lighting, audio, and cameras.

Knowledge of the role of video and digital storytelling in marketing (especially within the context of integrated marketing campaigns) and ability to adapt techniques to various target audiences and mediums.

Experience working as a member of a creative team to develop video concepts that complement a larger campaign theme, while remaining true to college brand principles.

Must possess interpersonal and organizational skills to work collaboratively and collegially with coworkers, faculty, staff, students, College leadership, community members, and vendors. Ability to work independently in certain circumstances.

Knowledge of current post-production techniques, along with editing skills.

Knowledge of the Adobe Suite, specifically Premiere, PhotoShop, and After Effects, including but not limited to sound editing, special effects, and graphic design.

Experience using some or all of the following equipment and methods: Canon C200 digital cinema camera, Canon 5D DSLR, GoPro Fusion VR camera, GoPro Hero 7, Rokinon cine-lenses, Canon photography lenses, DJI Ronin camera stabilizer, Rotolight and Dracast LED lighting kits, state-of-the-art green screen studio with infinity wall, Monfrotto tripods, Shure lav microphones, Sennheiser camera-mounted microphone, Rode shotgun microphone and boom pole, full editing suite with studio monitors, Blackmagic Intensity shuttles

Possess technical production skills and project management capability in order to guide the video production process from concept through final delivery.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment to complete both short and long term projects.

Be available to work a flexible schedule, which includes days/evenings/weekends/holidays as needed by the department.

Be available to travel for filming alumni videos and other projects at a distance.

Animation and motion graphics skills a plus.

Additional Information:

Work Schedule: usually Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm. The ability to work a flexible schedule is required, as working occasional evenings and weekends is needed to support departmental goals.
