Part-Time Broadcast Engineer','FOX0003TA','Americas-US-CA-San Diego','!*!Fox Sports San Diego is currently seeking a part-time Broadcast Engineer. This position will manage and support all of the incoming and outgoing feeds to assure proper video and audio quality for our broadcasts, studio shows and the maintaining, repairing, and installing of broadcast and editing equipment in the San Diego facilities.ResponsibilitiesEnsures all PLN transmission equipment is calibrated and operating correctly before and during live event telecasts; conducts quality control of all incoming and outgoing PLN feeds and corrects and documents technical problems.Engineering support for all live and tape Studio productions. Consults with FOX Sports San Diego Operations Manager & Engineering staff regarding corrective actions unable to resolve alone.Troubleshoots equipment where problems occur and performs regular maintenance tasks including repairs and replacement of equipment assigned by FOX Sports San Diego management.Follows all Fox and FCC standards and guidelines.Interacts daily and communicates effectively with engineering and production staffs to understand and fulfill their requests during shift.Other duties/projects as assigned by managers. ','!*!Minimum 3 years’ experience working in broadcast engineering and studio operations environment.Must be knowledgeable in all areas of technical production and familiar with all studio production equipment.Strong knowledge of technical setup in edit bays, including networking and storage solutions.Computer operating systems knowledge is a must, networking skills a plus.Knowledgeable maintaining Avid and Final Cut systems with LTO archiving and able to troubleshoot computer based broadcast equipment.Strong analytical and reasoning skills are essential as well as technical troubleshooting skills.Reasonable mathematical skills required.Must have strong communication skills and be a team player.Occasionally required to bend and lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.Flexible hours/schedule and weekend and holiday shifts will be required.Division DescriptionFOX Sports is the umbrella entity representing 21st Century FOX’s wide array of multi-platform US-based sports assets.
