We are looking for an individual with great writing skills, the ability to multi-task and drive a fast paced, engaging newscasts. Must be familiar with live shots, production techniques, news gathering and new media, including web posting. Must have the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Must be able to work nights, overnights and weekends. Minimum of one year producing preferred. The South Carolina Broadcasters Association (SCBA) will present its most prestigious awards to Charles Bierbauer, Debi Chard, Gary Griffin and Bill Sharpe at a dinner and ceremony during their annual Winter Conference. The dinner will be held January 26, 2017 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. SCBA is pleased to announce that Boyd Huppert, well-known American television personality, will be the news speaker at the SCBA News Training Workshop on March 4, 2017 at the Columbia Conference Center. Huppert is a news reporter for KARE 11 in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. Each week, he adds another Land of 10,000 Stories story which has been recognized for its photojournalism. In 2007 Huppert received an Emmy Award for "Portrait of Compassion", which ran on NBC's Today Show. He has won 14 national Edward R. Murrow awards, three Sigma Delta Chi awards, a national Emmy and 92 regional Emmys. He has also won the National Press Photographers Association’s Photojournalism Award for Reporting seven times. Huppert also teaches broadcast seminars throughout the world. Beyond the U.S., Huppert has taught in Canada, Denmark, New Zealand and Norway. He has also been a member of the National Press Photographers Association’s Advanced Storytelling Workshop faculty for nearly 20 years.
