Global Asset Technologies LLC a wholly owned subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. (BSNC) is seeking to fill GAT Communications positions in Nome, Wales and Savoonga for the 2015 summer and fall seasons. If hired you will work in a Call Center to provide area wide communications support that will help prevent conflict between subsistence activities and industry operations during a common time period in and around the Chukchi Sea and nearby lands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Communicate shift details, and provide status update to relief of Radio Communicators Supervisor •Document all radio, telephone and facsimile transmissions in the Call Center Log
•Plot and update known Whaling and Industry activity on a wall mounted map
•Make Call Center logs available for ICS and Industry Representative (IR) for inspection
•Listen and process 911 emergency and radio distress calls to the appropriate authorities per the Com and Call Center Action Plan
•Keep ICS aware of outstanding overnight issues
•Notify Program Manager of immediate equipment issues, or for non-emergency actions needed

Job Requirements :
Required:
Fluent in the Inupiat and English language
Must be competent with PC computer operations and have knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include the use of simple spreadsheets and the use of e-mail attachments – This requirement is MANDITORY
Operate base station and hand-held VHF radios, telephones, recording devices (Communication Center), and all standard office equipment
Preferred
Completion of the 12th grade or its equivalent.
Fluent in the Inupiat language
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of office practice and procedures.
Skill in carrying out orders with precision and speed.
Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately.
Ability to learn and apply public safety regulations and procedures.
Ability to operate a sending-receiving radio console.
Ability to speak clearly and concisely.
Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner.
