Observe and determine from controllers and recorders malfunctioning equipment and process operation. Collect and record operating data, run variety of routine control checks during operations and makes appropriate operational changes. Participate in continuous improvement events and routinely are responsible housekeeping and efficiency activities. Actively participates in shift relief (Tier 1 meeting). Operate complex equipment. Responsible for the proper functioning of equipment. Control the mixing, feeding, and flow of chemicals to operating equipment in the field. Observe and determine from controllers and recorders malfunctioning equipment and process operation. Redirect or shut off feeder lines in the field in an emergency and alerts supervisor and board operator of action taken. Make scheduled routine inspections of operating areas. Records data on log sheets as applicable. Record daily activities in shift e log. Take composite samples of both in-process and finished product. Install, repair, or modify equipment as necessary to meet various operational requirements. Follow standard operating procedures. Communicates with board operator for control changes. Writes work notifications. Ability to learn and operate the Honeywell Experion DCS system. Fills in for the Board Operator during vacations and absences. Performs all other duties as required.
Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) - This is due to the nature of the products produced at this facility and Home Land Security requirements

You Must Have
High School Diploma or GED
Certified in all outside areas of HF operations (WWTP, Spar Dryer, Tank Farm, and Furnaces)
Trained (or certified) in the HF Structure and High Purity operation
Ability to work with minimal supervision and self-starter
Ability to work as part of a team and individually
Ability to communicate with all members of the site
