A public radio broadcaster assembles edits and mixes stories for air as well as assists with bureau duties as delegated by bureau chief or senior editor.
A public radio broadcaster requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent as well as three or more years broadcasting or similar experience. Some experience at a national level is preferred. A public radio broadcaster should demonstrate the ability to deliver stories with program writing style, pace. A public radio broadcaster should effectively execute assignment with some direction and guidance on concepts and writing. Ability to handle challenging assignments and excellent communication skills are important.
