An online radio professional works with programmers and the membership department as appropriated by the manager. An online radio professional solicits premiums from specified vendors (e.g. books from publishing companies); tracks efforts and follows up; and edits and produces recorded material for broadcast (if needed). An online radio professional may propose, develop, record, edit, and mix audio pieces involving poets and poetry. An online radio professional may also conduct research and conversations with poets and poetry organizations. An online radio professional maintains communication with local, national, and international news, and finds places of connection with programs. An online radio professional provides administrative support to managers and administration. An online radio professional generates and distributes reports including but not limited to billing, avails, affidavits, and contract confirmation.
A four-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required for an online radio job. Good communication skills are must for online radio jobs. Radio production skills, including audio editing using Adobe Audition, are desirable. An online radio professional must have ability to work with standard office equipment like fax machine, copier, etc.
