A radio professional assists radio news & public affairs director in procuring premiums for membership drive. A radio professional assists membership coordinator with ordering and other tasks after the drive. A radio professional works closely with the radio news and public affairs director; with programmers as appropriated by the manager; and with the membership department as directed. A radio professional may solicit premiums from specified vendors (eg. books from publishing companies). A radio professional edits and produces recorded material for broadcast (if needed). A radio professional conducts ongoing research and conversations with customers. A radio professional coordinates the negotiation of suitable copy with corporate underwriting managers and client. A radio professional provides administrative support to the executive director of corporate underwriting. A radio professional generates and distributes reports including but not limited to billing, avails, affidavits, and contract confirmation.
A four-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required for radio jobs. Communication skills is a must for radio jobs. A radio professional must have the ability to work with standard office equipment like fax machine, copier, etc. Some knowledge of public affair issues and KBOO programming is also preferred for radio jobs.
