A radio promotions professional provides project support for the radio promotion division of the national media department. A radio promotions professional’s duties includes coordinating all aspects of radio promotional campaigns as well as live broadcast remotes and DJ press junkets. A radio promotions professional implements and executes procedures to maintain, efficient tracking of radio promotion materials including station agreements, winner releases, MP3 air checks and notarized recaps. A radio promotions professional works closely with the director in establishing procedures to enhance and streamline the process of archiving promotional elements. A radio promotions professional contributes to the brainstorming process relating to creative strategies. A radio promotions professional creates PowerPoint presentations and promotional pitch documents. A radio promotions professional interacts with radio station personnel and various in-house departments (media buyers, affiliate marketing and publicity) as it relates to project follow-up. A radio promotions professional assists in the planning of live broadcast events and promotional press junkets.
A radio promotions professional should have minimum of two to three years of promotional experience. Previous experience in radio and/or television is valuable. A radio promotions professional should have a working knowledge of the radio and television industry. A radio promotions professional should have working knowledge of publicity and event planning. A radio promotions professional should also have ability to multi-task and work effectively while demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills. Excellent problem solving abilities and attention to detail are required.
