Radio Programmers Jobs
A radio programmer assists radio news & public affairs director in procuring premiums for membership drive A radio programmer assists membership coordinator with ordering and other tasks after the drive. A radio programmer works with programmers as appropriated by the manager. Radio programmers edit and produce recorded material for broadcast (if needed). A radio programmers proposes, develops, records, edits, and mixes audio pieces. A radio programmer conducts ongoing research and conversations with poets and poetry organizations. A radio programmer may work with an executive producer and cross-program production team to develop the sound/style. A radio programmer maintains currency with local, national and international news, and finds places of connection with poetry. A radio programmer coordinates the negotiation of suitable copy with corporate underwriting managers and client. A radio programmer provides administrative support to executive director of corporate underwriting. A radio programmer generates and distributes reports including but not limited to billing, avails, affidavits, and contract confirmation.
A four-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required for a radio programmer job. Good communication skills are must for radio programmer jobs. Radio production skills, including audio editing using Adobe Audition, are desirable. A radio programmer must have ability to work with standard office equipment like fax machine, copier, etc. Knowledge of public affairs issues and KBOO programming is an advantage for radio programmer jobs.
